Inspire 3 adopts a new curved design and incorporates cutting-edge aerodynamics to further reduce flight resistance. The oblique descent speed is increased from 9 meters/second of Inspire 2 to 10 meters/second, and the vertical ascent and descent speeds are increased from 6 meters/second and 4 meters/second to 8 meters/second respectively. Strong maneuverability brings sensitive control response and delicate control feel, and the flight time is extended to 28 minutes.

Industrial Design
The flight camera, perception camera, positioning antenna, and memory card compartment are all designed to be hidden and integrated with the fuselage, highlighting the minimalist design concept and interpreting modern industrial aesthetics.
While continuing the classic deformation structure of Inspire, Inspire 3 adopts a new spatial deformation design, which not only supports 360° panoramic shooting mode, but also adds an upward shooting mode. When the landing gear is down, the gimbal camera can shoot 80° upward, allowing photographers to create more visually impactful creative shots.
From the exterior design to the internal structure, every detail of Inspire 3 has been carefully considered.

 

Centimeter-level RTK positioning
Inspire 3 integrates RTK high-precision positioning technology in the field of architectural surveying and mapping, which can achieve centimeter-level precise positioning. Compared with traditional GNSS meter-level positioning, RTK positioning technology not only makes flight more stable, but also makes route planning more accurate, and the creative efficiency is greatly improved.
The RTK positioning antenna is integrated into the internal structure of the aircraft and adopts a laminated ceramic process. It supports three types of global positioning systems: Beidou, GPS, and Galileo, and achieves dual-band centimeter-level positioning. Photographers only need to activate the RTK network service or set up the D-RTK 2 mobile station to perform high-precision positioning without installing other modules on the aircraft.

 

Dual Antenna Direction
The head and tail of the Inspire 3 aircraft are each built with a laminated ceramic antenna, which has strong anti-magnetic interference capabilities and further improves flight accuracy.

 

Waypoint Flight Pro
DJI has created Waypoint Flight Pro specifically for film and television aerial photography. Compared with the traditional waypoint flight function, it can not only plan flight routes and shooting actions for the Inspire 3, but also support various custom settings. With the new trajectory replay and 3D track mode, it can bring a cross-era automated shooting experience. At the same time, thanks to the RTK high-precision positioning technology, the route planning and mission execution of the Inspire 3 are more accurate. Track Replay
In Track Replay mode, the Inspire 3 can automatically fly on a planned route according to the preset flight altitude, speed, gimbal angle, and camera settings. By replaying the same flight mission, whether it is time-lapse photography of long spans such as day to night and the rotation of seasons, or difficult one-shot shooting, you can efficiently complete the film.

 

3D Track
On the movie set, use 3D Track mode to simulate the shooting effects of telescopic guns, cableways, and tracks.
After completing the route design, the photographer can manually control the Inspire 3 to fly back and forth on the same route, flexibly adjusting the flight speed and gimbal angle according to the actors' movements, which not only makes the previously complex film-level lens scheduling simple and efficient, but also achieves visual effects that are difficult to match with traditional shooting tools.

 

Focus Pro
Focus Pro is an upgrade of the focus function of Inspire 2, further lowering the threshold for single-person creation. With powerful machine learning algorithms, Inspire 3 can automatically identify common shooting subjects such as people, cars, and ships, and the recognition accuracy is far superior to its predecessor.
Follow Mode: In Focus Pro's Follow Mode, the gimbal camera and the aircraft's nose keep the same direction and always lock the subject. The photographer does not need to manually adjust the composition and can easily shoot surround shots.
Free Mode: In Free Mode, thanks to the Inspire 3's 360° gimbal structure, when the gimbal camera locks the subject, the photographer can use the flying camera to observe the flight environment in real time, freely adjust the aircraft's nose direction, flexibly control the flight route, and a single person can also control complex camera movements.

 

Omnidirectional Situational Awareness System
Inspire 3 is equipped with an omnidirectional visual perception system that supports obstacle detection in all directions and provides all-round protection for flight. Among them, DJI has set four fisheye perception lenses on the deformable landing gear for the first time. When the landing gear is on top, it can avoid the fuselage from blocking the perception lens to the greatest extent; even if the landing gear is on the bottom, it can also achieve horizontal obstacle avoidance.

 

Custom Obstacle Avoidance
The new perception system brings excellent obstacle avoidance performance to Inspire 3, while supporting a new custom obstacle avoidance function, taking into account both flight safety and creative freedom. The aircraft's horizontal, upper, and lower obstacle avoidance functions can be turned on or off separately, and the obstacle avoidance and warning distances in each direction can be customized to adapt to different shooting environments and shooting requirements, improving creative flexibility.
Even if the active obstacle avoidance function is turned off, the new distance perception radar map can still display the distance between the aircraft and obstacles in real time, and promptly warn with a prompt sound, but does not actively perform obstacle avoidance actions, providing new possibilities for professional teams trying to challenge difficult camera movements.

 

Ultra-wide-angle low-light flight camera
The Inspire 3 flight camera is equipped with a new 1/1.8-inch sensor with a single pixel size of up to 3 μm, an ultra-wide field of view of 161°, and can transmit up to 1080p/60fps high-definition images. Compared with the previous generation of flight cameras, the viewing angle is nearly twice as large, and the light sensitivity is even more amazing. Whether day or night, it can clearly display environmental information and further ensure flight safety.

 

Full-frame 8K custom sensor
DJI’s lightest full-frame gimbal camera to date, the Zenmuse X9-8K Air, is custom-made for the Inspire 3. It is equipped with DJI’s latest image processing platform, CineCore 3.0, and can directly record up to 8K/25fps CinemaDNG[9] and 8K/75fps Apple ProRes RAW[9] videos, meeting the specifications of top film and television projects.
8K resolution brings ultra-fine, high-resolution aerial images, with realistic textures and clear details that are almost visible to the human eye. When watching on a large screen, you can fully experience the shock of 8K images. The RAW specification further utilizes the imaging strength of the X9-8K Air sensor, providing ample visual effects and color grading space.
